Meu mês de setembro (My month of September)

Bem.. vocês vão saber como foi um pouquinho do meu mês de setembro aqui...

Pra quem voltou chorando da Turquia pra África do Sul, querendo na verdade voltar pra casa e pro Brasil, meu mês de Setembro foi bem legal!

Posso dizer que este foi o mês em que comecei a me sentir um pouco em casa aqui, a ser parte do país, e a me sentir feliz.

Coisas que marcaram meu mês:

- Comecei a ir na academia. Pra quem trabalha de casa (nosso escritório é na mesma casa em que moramos), ter um motivo pra sair de casa é muito importante. É bom ver gente diferente, sair do ambiente pra conseguir pensar melhor, e é bom fazer exercício físico. É algo que está me fazendo super bem.

- Reuniões pós-International Congress. Como duas pessoas do time não foram ao IC na Turquia, nós precisávamos passar todas as informações pra eles. E o fato de passarmos todas as informações gerou mais milhares de reuniões para discutir cada tópico especificamente. Este momento do time foi MUITO importante, pois assim pudemos alinhar melhor nossas expectativas, ter mais claro o papel de cada um, estabelecer melhores processos e objetivos. Inclusive tivemos nosso primeiro Team Building, que foi bastante importante pra nos conhecermos melhor, e pra acertarmos os principais perrengues que já estavam existindo no time.

- Agenda social. Felizmente neste mês tive alguma vida social aqui na África do Sul (como vocês visualizarão nas fotos abaixo). Conheci bastante gente, me diverti bastante, fiz bastante festa, dancei! E como é bom fazer isto! Pra quem me conhece, sabe que isto é bem importante pra mim! ehehhe E como é bom fazer isto

- Trabalho! :D Comecei a participar de eventos e a fazer visitas à organizações com as quais queremos que a AIESEC na África do Sul seja parceira. E foi MTO legal! Há bastante possibilidade que tenhamos dois parceiros nacionais para um projeto de HIV. Terminei as propostas dos projetos de HIV (ASK) e de Empreendedorismo Social (BASE SA) - cada um dos projetos custa uma bagatela de uns 90 mil reais! (se alguém que está lendo o meu blog quiser ajudar, you are welcomed!) Ainda, avisarei assim que conseguir empresas parceiras ou grant providers para os projetos! Além disto, tivemos uma reunião que foi chamada de Exchange Strategic Meeting, onde estabelecemos nossa meta e estratégia para aumentar o número de intercâmbios aqui na AIESEC da África do Sul até o final deste ano. Se tudo der certo, teremos 28 novos intercambios no sistema até o final de novembro (algo que a AIESEC da África do Sul não tem há MUUUUUUUITO tempo. A média de intercambios anuais daqui é de 17 há uns 4 anos já). Rezem por mim! Se tudo der certo, serei a pessoa mais feliz deste mundo em dezembro!

Aguardem mais notícias, pois neste mês estou vivendo MTAs coisas diferentes e viajando bastante!

To someone who really wanted to go back home instead of flying to South Africa from Istanbul, my month of September here in South Africa was really cool! I can say that this is the month I started to feel as part of the country, to feel myself happy!

Things that were important for me in September:

- I joined the gym. To someone who works from home (our office is located in the house we live), having a reason to get out of the house is really important. It is good to see different people, to get out of the same environment we live to be able to think different stuff, and it is good to exercize! It's being really good for me!

- Meetings after International Congress. As two of our team members didn't attended IC in Turkey, we needed to try to pass them all the information we got there. And as we passed them the informations and thoughts, we were scheduling meetings around specific subjects. So we had a lot of meetings! This moment was really important to our team, so we could better align our expectations and plans, to have our role in the team clearer, better establish our processes and goals. During this time we had our first Team Building, which was really important for us to get to know each other and to improve the relations within the team (that was already facing some problems).

- Work! :D In this month I started to attend external relations events and to have meetings with organizations we want to become partners with AIESEC in South Africa. And it's been REALLY cool! There is huge possibility of us having two national partners to our HIV project. Also, I finished the national proposals for our projects of HIV (ASK - Answers, Solutions and Knowledge on HIV) and on Social Entrepreneurship (BASE SA - Building Agents of Social Entrepreneurship in South Africa). I'll let you know as soon as we have a financial partner to the projects ;). Besides, we had one meeting that was called of Exchange Strategic Meeting, in which we established our goal and strategy to increase the number of exchanges on AIESEC in South Africa until the end of this year. If everything goes as planned, we will have 28 new exchanges on the system until the end of November (this is something really high, as the past average of realized exchanges here is 17 - and it's been like this for more than 3 years). Pray for me! I'll be the happiest person in the whole world if everything goes all right!
